Advocating for Rural Education
The Kansas Association of Rural Educators (KARE) is an organization comprised of more than 100 rural school districts throughout the state of Kansas.
OUR MISSION
The Kansas Association of Rural Educators (KARE) represents more than 100 rural school districts across Kansas, bringing educators and communities together around a shared commitment to strong rural schools. KARE provides a statewide network through which members can exchange ideas, share resources and work collaboratively to expand opportunities for rural students and educators.
KARE’s mission is to unite, support and advocate for rural school districts across Kansas. By strengthening collaboration, sharing resources and providing a unified voice, we work to ensure rural educators and students have the opportunities and support they need to thrive.
KARE also serves as a unified voice for rural education in Kansas, advocating for policies and funding that recognize the distinct needs of rural school districts. Through legislative updates, advocacy efforts and direct engagement with state leaders, KARE works to ensure rural schools remain visible, valued and equipped to help their students and communities thrive.
